Today was a day off, so I took advantage of the sunlight and explored the Kanayama area of Nagoya. It was only about 5 stops away on the subway from my place. The main goal was grocery shopping (which I will write about soon!), though it was great to see a new area of this city I call home. Enjoy!

Hotpot spicy tofu and pork, fermented veggies and shrimp fried rice. I had no clue this is what I ordered! The tofu had several chili peppers and literally had me sweating after bite #1. I took approximately 3 bites, then used Google translate to say it: “I’m sorry, this is too spicy. Can I please have a salad instead?” Thankfully, the server obliged!

Street sign reads: Nagoya/ Boston Museum of Fine Arts. The yellow sign on the bottom left is a sign for a chain chicken wing place. I can attest their wings are pretty good 🙂 Kanayama, Nagoya.

    1. I have more pictures, but for some reason my computer wouldn’t let me add/this format wouldn’t let me. I will probably try to add some more on Facebook since more people follow me there. Glad you could get a little glimpse.
